Brother MFC-J995DW

Price: from $270 on Amazon

Brother MFC-J995DW INKvestment Tank All-in-One Printer - Review 2018 - PCMag UK

This is probably the best wireless printer that you can find for family use.

The Brother MFC-J995DW is an all-in-one printer with inkjet technology. It can easily complete your family’s daily printing tasks. The machine itself has a sturdy feel with a cold-grey color. Its ink cartridges are easily accessible from the front. The device has a touchscreen display that allows you to perform different tasks with some simple taps. The screen is very responsive and can be tilted for better viewing angles.

Most of the Brother’s printer models, including the MFC-J995W,  are now compatible with the Brother iPrint&Scan app. This app lets you print, scan, copy, and perform maintenance works directly from your mobile devices. One more unique feature of the Brother’s printers is their outstanding cartridge system which can hold more ink per cartridge. Combining with the remarkably low cost-per-print on the MFC-J995W, you can use this printer for a long long time before it runs out of ink.

In addition, this printer is equipped with a flatbed scanner with an impressively high scan resolution and an automatic document feeder. When it comes to quality, printed photos look great and detailed, despite some fine banding. The printing speed is also much faster for photos than for documents.

The downside of the Brother MFC-J995DW is that its color accuracy is just average. Therefore, you should not use it for a task that requires accurate color reproduction. In addition, this printer does not have duplex scanning. This means that you will have to manually flip your files if they are double-sided. Also, Bluetooth connectivity is not available, which could be a big flaw if you want to print out your documents from smartphones.
Pros:

  • Sturdy design.
  • Works well with the family’s task.
  • Low ink consumption.
  • Great printed photo detail.
  • Fast print speed.

Cons:

  • Average color accuracy.
  • No duplex scanning.
  • Lack support Bluetooth.

CANON PIXMA TR8520

Price: from $260 on Amazon

Canon TR8520 All-In-One Printer For Home Office |Wireless | Mobile Printing | Photo and Document Printing, AirPrint(R) and Google Cloud printing, Black giá tốt nhất 2020 | FPT Shop

The Canon Pixma TR8520 is a great choice if you want better photo printing quality.

This wireless printer has a more simple and less sturdy design than the Brother MFC-J995DW does.  Its cost-per-print is also higher. They do also share some similarities like easy access to ink cartridges or the addition of a touchscreen display. However, the Pixma TR8520 provides an even better photo quality. Printed photos look clear and detailed. Their colors also come out vibrant with a top-tier accuracy.

This printer also supports more connectivity options.  You can print via Ethernet, Wi-Fi, USB, AirPrint, Mopria Print, and even directly from your camera’s SD card.

There are also some negative points. In fact, it has a very low page yield and if you put too much paper in the tray, the printer jams. Furthermore, you will notice that its speed is fairly slow compare to other models.
Pros:

  • Provide great printed photo quality.
  • High-level color accuracy.
  • Various connectivity support.

Cons

  • Low page yield.
  • Slow printing speed.

Brother MFC-L3770CDW Laser

Price: $399 on Bestbuy

Brother MFC-L3770CDW Laser Review - RTINGS.com

If you are working from home right now, the Brother MFC-L3770CDW Laser will be excellent for your home offices. This all-in-one laser has an incredibly well-built and sturdy design.

Like the MFC-J995DW, this model is also compatible with the Brother iPrint&Scan app, which allows you to easily perform tasks like printing, scanning, or doing maintenance directly from your phone. As it provides supports for multiple connectivities, you can also print directly from your mobile device via AirPrint and Mopria Print or via your computer through Ethernet, USB, and Wi-Fi.

The Brother MFC-L3770CDW Laser has a flatbed scanner that can lift high enough for thicker documents. In addition, it’s also equipped with a document feeder that can perform duplex scanning and faxing. When it comes to printing speed, this printer is impressive fast. Furthermore, it has a very high page yield for both black and color documents, which results in an impressively low cost-per-print.

Unfortunately, this model does not have a good photo printing quality. Specifically, the images don’t look sharp and colors come out quite inaccurate. Also, the display screen cannot be tilted. This can be quite inconvenient to view it properly if you’re sitting or the printer is set on a higher table.
Pros:

  • Sturdy and well-built design.
  • Support duplex scanning and faxing.
  • High page yield.
  • Low cost-per-print.

Cons

  • Low printed photo quality.
  • Un-tiltable display screen.

Also, it’s is relatively cheap to replace the cartridges. The printed photos look very nice and have very little graininess while the colors look accurate enough for casual photos.

  • Compact size.
  • Instructive display screen.
  • Good printing, scanning, and color quality.
